September – what a month! Still very much summer here in central Texas, so this month was shot in the pool. This was a fun month full of fun, a little travel, and you guessed it…lots of pool days.
This project has been a lot of fun. I like that it gets me to shoot at least half of a roll on this little one each month. When I first started, I was planning to do the entire year as sit down portraits with my Mamiya 645 1000s on Ilford HP5 film. I wanted consistency. And part of me wishes I had it. But she’s four and that’s just not how our life works sometimes. So this month brought it full circle for me. I shot the entire roll in about 30 minutes in the pool on Labor Day. I used Lomography Lomochrome Purple (which is why the colors are so funky) and my awesome underwater Snap Sights! camera.
Check out the entire year so far here.
Also, make sure you check out my friend Dena in Santa Barbara for her roll this month.
